Event Description

Join us for the 3rd in our series of fireside chats with inspiring women creating social impact in the space of sustainability & environment

Cecilia was born in Venezuela to a family known for their multi-generational wildlife conservation efforts. She spent the majority of her childhood living in the Bahamas where she was able to cultivate a deep appreciation and connection to nature. Experiencing “Hurricane Season” annually, she saw first hand the devastation that followed major storms passing through the island nation. These events and the community recovery efforts she participated in instilled in her a respect for nature and a responsibility to alleviate humanitarian suffering wherever she saw it.

Cecilia’s university education provided windows into the history of human rights and the future of a healthy and sustainable future for mankind. Outside of classes she participated in social impact fellowships and volunteered at the Dallas Innovation Alliance, the launchpad of Dallas’ “Smart City” initiative.

Cecilia now lives in sunny Southern California where she has held positions in sustainability and social compliance for a major fashion company. She is an active member of the sustainability community and recently became a Climate Reality Leader.
