Event Description

Obtain key insights on the current trends in sustainable and impact investing in the United States.

Join us on November 16, 2020 for the virtual launch of the US SIF Foundation’s Report on US Sustainable and Impact Investing Trends 2020.

The report is the most comprehensive study of sustainable and impact investing in the United States.

It provides data on the US asset management firms and institutional asset owners using sustainable investment strategies and examines the environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) issues they consider in managing their portfolios.

The launch event will provide key insights on:

  • Investment trends regarding labor issues, equal employment opportunity and diversity, and other social issues.
  • The level of growth in assets addressing climate change and carbon emissions, sustainable natural resources and agriculture and other environmental issues.
  • Asset manager transparency levels on ESG incorporation and trends in investment vehicles including mutual funds, exchange traded funds and alternatives.
  • The trends and impact of recent shareholder proposals and other investor engagement efforts.

  • Joshua Humphreys, President and Senior Fellow, Croatan Institute

2. The Social in ESG – Has 2020 finally put it on the map?

This session will discuss the most important social criteria identified in the 2020 Trends Report, how investors are incorporating social criteria and measuring investment impact and what the future holds for the S in ESG.

Speakers

  • Alyssa Greenspan, CFA, President and Chief Operating Officer, Community Capital Management
  • Mary Jane McQuillen, Head of ESG and Portfolio Manager, ClearBridge Investments
