We are excited to invite you and representatives from your organization to the semi-annual Employing U.S. Vets Conference on September 24, 2020 at the New York Athletic Club. The event, hosted by VETS Indexes, will include discussions of best practices and challenges related to veteran employment, recognition of companies going above and beyond for vets and their families and lots of opportunities to network.
More members and veterans of our military than ever are transitioning from the military and seeking civilian careers. There are about 27 million people in the military-connected community, including active duty personnel, reservists, military families and veterans. This vast talent pool represents significant opportunities for organizations looking to hire qualified and hard-working employees and has become an integral segment of the Human Capital portion of the Social pillar within Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG). But to take advantage, companies need to know their stuff.
This one-day, semi-annual event features dynamic speakers and panel discussions with nationally recognized employers distinguished for strong track records in veterans’ employment. Our experts will explore cutting-edge topics such as:
- Successful Veteran Hiring
- New Careers Post-Service
- Creating a Strong Veteran Culture
- Retaining Veterans
- Team-building and Leadership Skills of Veterans
- Veterans’ Technical Skills
- Supporting Employees in the National Guard or Reserves
- Veteran Employee Resource Groups
- Military Spouse and Family Support
- How Veterans Fill a Unique Space within Diversity and Inclusion
- Resolving Barriers to Employment
The conference is designed to offer attendees actionable tools and information to establish and build upon veteran initiatives. It will also provide a great opportunity to network with peers from leading companies.
Who Should Attend?: Corporate, Non-Profit, Government Agency and other employment professionals including Human Resource Executives, Diversity and Inclusion Team Members, Members of Military Veteran Networks, Employee Resource Groups, Corporate Communication Teams, Public Relations, Investor Relations Officers and Military Veteran Initiative Teams. The ESG Community including Asset Managers and Asset Owners such as Public & Private Pensions, Insurance Companies, Endowments, Foundations & Family Offices.

Where can I contact the organizer with any questions?
Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
Yes – please just email us to let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No – if you have registered, we will be expecting you
The name on the ticket doesn’t match the attendee – is that okay?
No worries – we allow transfers
Is there a Refund Policy for my registration if I cannot attend?
Yes – any payment for registration will be credited to the next or any future Employing U.S. Veterans Conference that you would like to attend.
Is there a room block reserved for hotel rooms for this event?
No – The NYC hotels have become very rigid on room blocks and in some cases now require full prepayment with No Cancellation Policies at rates that are not very discounted (in some cases as little as 5% – 10%).
The online services (Kayak, Hotwire, Expedia, etc..) have proven to source far better deals than the room block terms that we have been provided previously – therefore, we encourage you to use the online platforms as they appear to provide the most flexibility at the best rates. We do encourage our delegates to obviously book as early as possible.
