Join Flatiron School as one of our lead Data Science instructors introduces you to the field of data journalism through the use of Python.
This workshop is designed to introduce you to the field of data journalism through the use of Python. David Elliott, one of our lead Data Science instructors, will walk you through how data journalists use data to create visualizations and summary analysis that communicate data clearly.
What you learn:
How to use the pandas package to wrangle your data
How to create static and interactive visualizations
Some tips on conveying information with data effectively
What to look out for with “bad” visualizations
Who is the workshop for?
No experience is required to attend! If you’ve had some experience with Python or coding in general, there is still a lot to learn from this workshop. This is a no-strings-attached opportunity for you to gain technical knowledge and find out if data science is something you’re passionate about. Just show up, and learn something new!
