Closing The Technical Skills Gap For Women At Work: Panel | Online

Sep 22, 2021

Sep 22, 2021

3:00 pm To 4:00 pm

Online: EDT (USA)

Event Description

It’s time to get more women in tech—like yesterday. Join Flatiron School and Learn In for a conversation about crushing the gender gap.

The most common jobs for women in the U.S. involve people, communication, and caregiving: Nursing, teaching, customer service, people management.

We don’t always associate these skills with exceptional tech workers. But we should. And for the women already working in tech, they represent just one quarter of all workers. This isn’t a pipeline or a motivation issue, this is all about removing old-school bias in how we support women in building skills.

At this virtual panel event hosted by Flatiron School and Learn In, you’ll hear from some amazing women in tech who took control of their career, flipped the script, and successfully navigated their way to building the tech careers of their dreams.
