I have graduated from the University of Southern California with a Master of Science degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Human Language Technology (Natural Language Processing) and am mainly interested in analyzing and developing statistical models for the study of language using NLP and ML techniques.
Through my courses here at USC, I have gained experience on how to tackle the unstructured nature of language in the form of text and dialogues and build models and parsers around them so that the raw text can be used for making informative models.
Some of my key works and models include: Name Entity Recognition (NER) System, Name Discrimination System, Expectation Maximization (EM) Algorithm Implementation for Tagging, Structured Discriminative Training using Large Scale Method, CKY and Viterbi Algorithm Implementation.
Recently, I have been studying more in-depth about ML algorithms and also learning about Neural Networks(NN) or Artificial Neural Networks(ANN) as they are mostly called, and their applications in the NLP domain.
As a career goal, I wish to research and implement models which work on Natural Language Understanding, Semantic Analysis and Social Media Analysis.
