The co-founder and co-CEO of Warby Parker loves to help people see, and he’s dedicated the last few years of his life to the cause. Having helped found Warby Parker in 2010, a socially-conscious company that designs and sells vintage-inspired frames and prescription lenses at affordable prices, Blumenthal is helping to transform the eyewear industry and to help the 1 billion unfortunate people in the planet in need of glasses see.
As the former director of non-profit social enterprise Vision Spring, Blumenthal has helped train women in low-income countries to start eyewear businesses in South Asia, Africa and Latin America. He was named a Fellow for Emerging Leaders in Public Service at NYU Robert F. Wagner School for Public Service for his work at Vision Spring.
Blumenthal attended the Institute for International Mediation and Conflict Resolution in The Hague, Netherlands, received his BA from Tufts University and his MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
