I am a full stack data scientist with deep familiarity with every part of the lifecycle of data-driven systems, from data collection to creating a data product. Prior to LogBase, I’ve been working at LinkedIn dealing with varied security incidents and site issues, with a particular focus on solving some of the hard-core security problems encountered by organizations using big data and machine learning algorithms. I am a career expert in handling large-scale, high-velocity, diverse data and getting great insights out of it. Through my work, I’ve developed a firm understanding of the Hadoop ecosystem and in-depth knowledge of HDFS, MapReduce, Hive, Pig, Kafka, HBase, Drill, Avro, and Parquet.
Fundamentally, I love solving hard computer science problems in any form. Throughout my life, I’ve sought out work on the most difficult technical challenges – like predicting seizures from a patient’s EEG signals; using signal processing to locate gunfire in an urban setting, and detecting intruders in a network by analyzing network flows. All the way back at Columbia University, during my Masters, I led a team that developed a new programming language for creating animations and games that got selected as best in the class.
