Anne Pramaggiore is president and CEO of ComEd, an electric utility company delivering electricity to 3.8M customers in Chicago and Northern Illinois. She is the first female to hold the post of president and CEO, and was named Utility Industry CEO of the Year by Energy Central in 2014.
Pramaggiore oversaw the passage of the Energy Infrastructure Modernization Act (EIMA), a 10-year, $2.6B program designed to modernize the state’s electric grid – improving reliability, customer empowerment over energy usage, job creation and economic development in Illinois. Through EIMA and Illinois Senate Bill 9, the 100-year-old regulatory model for cost recovery was reformed and replaced with an industry-leading formula rate model that improves ComEd’s ability to earn a fair return on equity, improve service to customers, and increase value to Shareholders.
As a result of EIMA, ComEd has seen the best system performance in its history: storm restoration performance improved by 30%; key reliability performance – frequency and duration of outages – improved to best on record and top decile.
Pramaggiore has driven for major companywide re-focus on customer satisfaction by developing the ComEd Premier Customer Experience, a plan to deliver efficiency and quality in all of ComEd’s processes and services. Customer service performance has moved to top quartile and customer satisfaction is at a new all-time high.
Committed to an inclusive culture of growth, innovation, customer focus and responsibility, Pramaggiore oversaw development and implementation of the ComEd People Strategy, a comprehensive strategy for ensuring that ComEd develops the culture to meet future business challenges, by leveraging a newly designed employee compact, strategic talent management and leadership development, an expanded training curriculum and focus on innovation.
Pramaggiore serves as a board member of Chicago Federal Reserve, Motorola Solutions, Inc., and several civic and community organizations.
