Ameen Soleimani will present on State Channels, a design pattern for scalable decentralized apps which works by moving the bulk of transactions off chain, so they resolve instantly, cost no gas, and can be private. At ConsenSys, Ameen works on the Co-Tricity team to measure and reward decentralized energy production and does research on State Channels implementations.
